Sleep Disorder Treatment. Awareness. Symptoms. Tests. Diagnosis. Causes. Risk Factors.
i’ve been having sleep paralysis lately and it is starting to be a common for me.and now i dont sleep on my back.i started sleeping on my side but somehow i still get them(not-so-scary sleep paralysis than what it used to be)okay, i know to avoid this is by having a fixed sleeping time and a regular exercise.but usually i sleep for at least 2 hours during the day(i dont get sleep paralysis during that).how to ’shorten’ my nap time?!
and i can sleep at any time..
I have been depressed for the last 7 years, I’m 22 now. I have tried all sorts of medication, am currently on the highest dose of prozac, but it doesn’t help. I think about suicide every day and wish I could just die and it would all end. I also take seroquel to sleep, but that doesn’t really do a whole lot, either.
I just got out of a 3 month inpatient program in a behavioral health clinic for depression and borderline, but matters have not improved but are rather worse, since I’ve lost hope cause they couldn’t help me there and I feel let down.
I live with my parents again after spending three years away from home in college. I only have 2 friends, they live too far away to visit.
I don’t enjoy being social anymore and daily habits like brushing teeth or showering are extremely difficult. I seek solace in my eating disorder of binge eating or bulimia.
Seriously, I don’t know what to do.. another inpatient treatment? Continue studying? I’m just so drained and don’t care about myself anymore, and everybody can tell that something’s wrong just from looking at me.
thanks for your input!!
i go sleep at 12 am every night or so and wake up at 7:30 for school. what effects wqill this have on me if i continue for 4 years through high school?

I had about two or three hours of sleep last night. I drank about four or five liters of coke throughtout the day/night I felt groggy all day and drove a good distance with no real problems then I took a sip of vault when i began to feel REALLY sleepy i couldn really taste it and my vision became not blurry but i could see black the as I swallowed the drink it made my mouth then my whole body numb I pulled off the road and relaxed a bit I had been driving a good while, we were 30 miles from our desitiantion so I kept driving I couldnt focus at all I even speed up to 80 to try and get my adrenaline to kick in but it wouldnt. I got about 4 miles from where I was going and something in my ar started throbing not hurting but actaully moving harshly up and down without my provoking it. This really freaked me out so has anyone had anything like this happen or know what happened to me? And yea I know I should lay off the caffine XD.
Yesterday afternoon I was walking through some grass (wearing flip flops) and suddenly I feel a stinging pain on my foot. I looked down and saw something brown for a second before it was gone. After that my foot hurt but I could see no visible bite marks or anything of that sort. My foot continued to hurt the rest of the night and I iced it down before going to sleep. Now my foot is still swollen and hurts to walk on. Does anybody have any idea of what might have bitten me and whether or not I should seek medical attention? At the very least how could I bring down the swelling before tonight’s Homecoming dance?
i think i might have SAD(Seasonal Affective Disorder). It developed on me last year during the winter and i can recall it as one of the worst experiences of my life. i was severely depressed, kept delaying a visit to the doctor, and didn’t get any sleep whatsoever for the majority of my winter break from school. the most i went without sleep was 4.5 days, an experience that made me hallucinate so severely. i had the worst x-mas and new years because of this. is there any and i mean any effective treatment for this? thank u
I’m not sure what the cause could be but I would love anyones help, opinion, answers…My lifestyle hasn’t changed and they both just randomly happened and it sort of freaks me out. Who wets the bed at 19 years old…let alone two nights out of the week! I’m embarrassed and can’t tell any of my friends? Besides sleep apnea, is their any other sleep disorder that could be the cause?
