Please share… i am considering this surgery for my sleep apnea, and would like to know any experiences u can share. i am currently using a mouth piece especially made by a dentist for my sleep apnea, but it is not effective. BTW, I have had a sleep study done by a neurologist, who determined I have sleep apnea.

I was told I have on average 32 incidents an hour from the VA.

I read on the internet on some sites saying 20 to 40 is considered moderate sleep apnea, while other sites are saying over 30 is considered severe. It’s hard to tell what is moderate or severe because of the contradictory sites.

Does anyone have a concrete sight with information on this??

I had a wisdom tooth pulled Friday, and it is now Sunday night. Is it safe to use my CPAP machine yet for my sleep apnea? I don’t want to cause a dry socket or anything.

Well I’ve had unrefreshing sleep for about idk 2 years, luckily it hasn’t deteriorated my school grades too much. I’ve also been diagnosed with major depression but I’m thinking is it depression that is affecting my sleep or could it be something else? It always feels as though I never actually go into deep sleep.
basically what are the symptoms of sleep apnea? and you reckon i should check whether i have it just to be completely sure because my antidepressants have done nothing for my sleep.

I’m a big guy and I know that affects it. I want to die peacefully in my sleep, but I’d prefer it happened in my 90’s. Any ideas on treatments? I want to get back on an excercise routine (I used to be an athlete), but that’s hard when you are dead tired all the time. Anyone else know the feeling?

My grandmother has sleep apnea and she has had several minor surgeries already. She heard on a news report about a new surgery that has been done. It involves a tube in the nose to remove something. She couldnt really remember, just wondering if anybody has heard about something like that. Thanks

I have sleep apnea and am scheduled to pick up a cpap machine this week. I found them to be uncomfortable when I spent the night at the sleep clinic but I’m going to give it a try. My sleep apnea is moderate to severe so I’ve got to try something to improve my condition. I’ve heard several people say they hadn’t slept so well in years after going on the cpap. Can anyone out there give me a review? If they are bothersome at first can you eventually get used to them?
