Sleep Disorder Treatment. Awareness. Symptoms. Tests. Diagnosis. Causes. Risk Factors.
i would like to know some of your stories as well.
I’ve experienced sleep paralysis since I was around 13 or 14, I’d get it a few times a year but nothing really to worry about. Recently however, I’ve been having it ALOT. I’ve had it four or five times this month alone… It’s always when I nap. I know this is a cause of it, but what can I do besides quit napping? I work nights and often need to get up in the mornings to run errands, so usually I need a nap in order to function at work the next night. I always hear noises and think someone’s in the house but i can’t move. Sometimes I think my eyes are open, are you really able to open your eyes during this or is it just my mind playing tricks on me? It’s always very frightening. What can I do?
i herd about this, and im scared it will happen to me, im usualy not a big wuss, i watch over 100 horror movies and i dont get scared easily, but this really freaks me out, because i herd when you expirience it, it feels real and you can hallucinate things, i move my fingers at night just to make sure im awake, i havnt bin geetting enough sleep, and tomorrows a school night ):
please help any advice?
THANKS TO EVERYONE:)
I get it a couple times a month.. And I just lay motionless for like 1-3 minutes. But the problem is is that I cant breathe until I move.
Idk I just want it to stop.. Cause Ik I will pass out from it soon.
Idk, I dont have any symptoms of sleep apnea. Its just paralysis, But I can’t breathe. I am awake too.
I
I was in the middle of sleeping and felt paralyzed. My eyes were closed. It lasted 30 seconds.
I think I need to do something about my case. Once in every two weeks would seem normal to me. But lately, at twice a week, something’s not right. As for anything out of the normal in my diet or routine, there’s none. No stress involved, too. If you had it and did something about it, I would most appreciate suggestions (not those advice with medications, please). Thanks
I believe am experiencing this condition and am getting help for it.
Is it juz stress or fatigue?
A friend reckons it can sometimes affect one side of the body but when ever I’ve had an attack, it’s always affected my entire body.
At various times during the day my eyes have closed and won’t open. Some of these times are when I am waking up but others are when I am away or in the shower.
